1. Win Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Complete the Inca Trail
3. Prove that P=NP
4. Take over the world
I’ve been in the hotel all afternoon and evening, dying to venture outside. *argh* We still haven’t fully adjusted to the altitude, so we’ve been forced to take it easy today. Hopefully we’ll be able to explore more tomorrow (Inca mummies?).
But we were at least able to explore much of the city this morning. This place is pretty interesting.
I’m still dying to try cuy. And I might be high on coca tea right now.
Today I fainted for the first time ever — something to do with altitude sickness. It was cool/surreal/weird/scary. Don’t remember anything about it. All I remember thinking when I came back was “this is too real to be a dream, I can feel things”.
Nothing to report other than that, I’ve been in the hotel all day trying to acclimatize.
The mountains are beautiful, especially the ice caps.
It’s clearly Spring now
And so love is in the air.
I’m as shocked as you.
I love this time of year when you get to hear some awesome graduation speeches.
I’ve been in Ottawa since Sunday staying at the Chateau Laurier. And it turns out fancy hotels suck.
In other news, my presentation at the conference went very very well. It’s so nice to present to people that aren’t afraid of technical stuff.
I have to buy hiking boots, but I don’t really want to…
I wrote this in my drafts a few months ago with the above title to eventually be posted. Why not now, I suppose.
The “…..” was a generic statement that was meant to be filled later, since I couldn’t think of anything at the time of writing. I don’t think I’ll fill it though.
Jess: Did you write in Wikipedia that “…..”
Sina: *shocked* I would never vandalize Wikipedia. Ever. You know that.
Jess: Well it says “…..”. You’re the only person that knows that.
Sina: Maybe someone read your diary.
Jess: I don’t have a diary.
Sina: Maybe someone hacked your Facebook.
UPDATE (28 April 2010): Just fyi, this represents a typical conversation between me and Jessica.
Three new general rules:
I don’t even know what to say.
